The Election Commission has announced a by-election for two assembly seats in Jharkhand. Bermo and Dumka seats will vote on November 3 and results on November 10.
Notification will be issued on October 9 for the by-election. Nomination form will be filled by 16 October. Nomination papers will be examined on October 17. Nomination papers will be withdrawn on 19 October.
The Election Commission has started preparations in both the seats in view of the by-elections. There are 368 total polling stations in Dumka. At the same time, the total number of polling stations in Bermo is 468. A polling station has been built on one thousand voters.
There are 247719 total voters in Dumka, out of which 124750 are male and 122968 are female voters. There is one number of transgender voters in Dumka. The total voters in Bermo are 311168, of which 163676 are male voters and 147492 are female voters.Litmus test for ruling party
Dumka seat is considered to be the stronghold of JMM. At the same time, the Congress is dominating the Bermo seat.
