Lucknow. The BSP supremo Mayawati has made Mau’s Bhim Rajbhar (Bheem Rajbhar) the Uttar Pradesh Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) state president. This move of BSP supremo is being seen as a preparation for the assembly elections to be held in UP in 2022.

Mayawati has appointed Bhim Rajbhar, zonal co-ordinator of Azamgarh division and a resident of Mau, as the new president of Bahujan Samaj Party, Uttar Pradesh. Before this, Munkad Ali was in this position. Mayawati’s move is being seen as a strategy of the BSP to turn the Rajbhar vote bank in its favor as the Rajbhar vote bank plays a decisive role in eastern Uttar Pradesh.

BSP supremo Mayawati has done a big blast on the second day of Deepawali i.e. on the day of Govardhan Puja. Mayawati has given the information on Twitter along with changing the BSP state president. Bheem Rajbhar of Mau has been appointed the new president of BSP Uttar Pradesh in place of Munkad Ali.

Regarding this, Mayawati tweeted and wrote, ‘Old, diligent and disciplined soldier belonging to the party and movement of Rajbhar Samaj in OBC (OBC) in UP, Bhim Rajbhar, BSP Uttar Pradesh State Unit to Resident District Mau (Azamgarh Circle) A new state president has been appointed. Hearty congratulations and best wishes to them ‘

Devotion to backward society
Formerly from Rajbhar society, Ramchal Rajbhar of Ambedkar Nagar has been the state president of the party for years. After a senior leader like Nasimuddin Siddiqui left the BSP, Mayawati gave Munkad Ali the chair of the president to join the Muslim society. The BSP supremo has now focused more on connecting the backward society with himself, in the wake of the Muslim community’s fear of going away from the party at the moment with statements like not going to go with the BJP to defeat SP during the recent Rajya Sabha elections. For now this bet is on. Let me tell you that due to the fairly backward population of the state, all the parties are eyeing them. The state president of other major parties, including BJP, is from this society.

BJP damages BSP
BSP’s account is also not open in Uttar Pradesh by-election. In such a situation, in front of the BSP, the challenge is to save its base in Uttar Pradesh. Because BJP has made a big dent in BSP’s vote bank in UP. Dalits are still with Mayawati in the state, but a larger vote bank than other castes has gone into the BJP’s account. This has been seen in the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections as well as in the 2017 assembly and 2020 by-elections.
