The centenary program of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) was addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday through video conferencing. In 56 years, Modi is the second Prime Minister after Lal Bahadur Shastri to give a speech at AMU. In his speech, Modi spoke about secularism while talking about the university’s history, alumnae, research here and women’s education. The Prime Minister said that in which religion we have grown up, what is more important is how we should join the aspirations of the country. Much time has gone in the name of differences. Together, we have to create a new self-sufficient India.
