State Election Commission Commissioner PS Mehra said that the process of filing nominations for the general election of the Zilla Parishad and Panchayat Samiti members in the 222 Panchayat Committees of 21 districts of the state started on November 4. On November 9, most nominations were filed on the last day of nomination. Names can be withdrawn from November 11 till 3:00 pm on November 11; With the withdrawal of nominations, the allocation of election symbols and the list of candidates contesting elections will be published.
The commissioner informed that voting will be held on November 23 for the first phase, November 27 for the second phase, December 1 for the third phase and December 5 for the fourth phase from 7.30 am to 5 pm. The counting of votes will be held on December 8 from 9 am at all district headquarters. Similarly, the election of the head or chief will be held on December 10 and the deputy chief or deputy chief on December 11. The counting of votes will begin at 5 pm or with the end of voting.
Elections will be held in these 21 districtsThe Election Commissioner said that in the districts of Ajmer, Churu, Nagaur, Banswara, Dungarpur, Pali, Barmer, Hanumangarh, Pratapgarh, Bhilwara, Jaisalmer, Rajsamand, Bikaner, Jalore, Sikar, Bundi, Jhalawar, Tonk, Chittorgarh, Jhunjhunu and Udaipur in the state Elections for Zilla Parishad and Panchayat Samiti members will be conducted in phases.
He told that in these districts, 2 crore 41 lakh, 87 thousand, 9 hundred 46 voters will be able to use their franchise in 21 districts. Elections of 636 Zilla Parishad members, 4371 Panchayat Samiti members will be held in these 21 districts.
